How much would it be, on average, to re-paint a 1987 or 91 camaro in a nice shiny black?

If it's a complete re-paint with minimal work, $2,000.How much would it be, on average, to re-paint a 1987 or 91 camaro in a nice shiny black?
a shop will charge you no less than $1500. and thats 10 years ago, i'm not sure what it is now days. But you can buy a camaro with a good paint job (if you shop around) for the same or less than you would pay to have one painted. the Walmart spray paint job is cheap. How much would it be, on average, to re-paint a 1987 or 91 camaro in a nice shiny black?
probably around $2000 if you want it to be nice. any less and it will fade, and be crap in just a few years. and $2000 might still be low end, it just matters where you go.
There's a lot of variables there. Depends on how much needs to be fixed before paint, how many things need to be removed such as trim and how much taping needs to be done. These items add more time and materials and can increase the cost.

I'd get at least 3 or 4 estimates and toss out the highest one and the lowest one. Is the shop neat %26amp; clean? Does the shop seem to be orderly and running well? Will they allow you to see some of their work in progress?
best way to find out is to bring the car to the body shop and ask them. tell them what u want and let the experts do the calculating
The cheapest paint job from Maaco will run you about $600 with no body work. These are classic cars though, so I would recommend getting a higher quality paint job that will last.
