How much should i charge to paint a mural 10'/10',of beach scene?

I'm assuming it's 8' ceilings.

Artists in my area would charge between $400 %26amp; $800 labor, plus materials. I personally would not pay more than that for mural work. There are MANY fine artists in my area, all who are trained in trompe l'oiel and faux finishing. How much should i charge to paint a mural 10'/10',of beach scene?
If you paint like I do, then do it for free.

If you paint like Michelangelo, then $1 Million per square foot. . .

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder -- some people will really like your work and want to pay a bundle others will wonder why anyone would want your work.

Before you know how people react to your work, perhaps you can charge by time. How much should i charge to paint a mural 10'/10',of beach scene?
Since you're asking this, I'm gussing you haven't got a lot of professional experience, so you would want to price a little lower and assume it will take you a bit longer than you think it will. The main thing is to do a small painting of the scene and make sure you client agrees to it, just verbally discussing what is to be painted can lead to problems later on if your visions differ.

After that, I would calculate your cost for materials and then estimate how long the project will take you and what you think you should be paid per hour. The combined number would be your flat rate for the mural.
$1500
