How do I stop noise from bathroom door opening and closing? It sounds like paint sticking to paint ?Oil it?

hey its a simple repair. first try tightening the hinges it maybe the cause of the door rubbing against the doorjams. remember if to door is top heavy then tighten the top hinges! if the door is bottom heavy and rubbing is from the bottom then tighten the bottom.

if any off those dont work then you'll have to resort to sanding down the contact areas and then have to come back and repaint those areas! hey good luck with your repairs and God Bless! How do I stop noise from bathroom door opening and closing? It sounds like paint sticking to paint ?Oil it?
Wood expands and contracts. It's best to sand down a door when humidity is high. But not too much; you'll get gaps when dry summer heat comes.

A cute trick is to hit it with bar soap. Rub it on, and see if that helps. Otherwise, you'll have to re-engineer the door, either by adjusting the hinges or sanding it down. How do I stop noise from bathroom door opening and closing? It sounds like paint sticking to paint ?Oil it?
I'm too lazy for all of that sanding stuff I just use heavy duty silicon spray. However the other answerers are correct that is the proper way to do it. Spray it while you are moving it until you find the sweet spot. Then spray a little more a few minutes later to make sure it is worked in.
Take a block of wood and some sandpaper and sand the spot where you see it rubbing. There is probably a mark on the door.
