I'm getting really fustrated because it hasn't been working, but I want to make this collage sort of on Paint Shp Pro. I need to take seperate picture, erase the edged of them, they put them onto a layer ontop of the background image.

My problem has been when I paste an image I already editing onto the background image, it shows up without any f the changes I made to it, and it turns up really small

what do I do? Please help, it's for my summativeHow to put one photo onto another on Paint Shop Pro?
Cal has just about everything you need but let's put it in order.

1. When you open an image, it's the Background layer in the Layers Palette. The Background layer is locked so you can't do things to it. The first thing you need to do with all your images is to click on the double blue squares at the top of the Layers Palette and duplicate the Background layer. The new layer will be a copy. Now, click on the Background layer and click the Delete icon at the top of the Layers Palette (with the red X on it) to close the Background - so you won't accidently work on it. You need to do this for all the images except the one you're using for the background.

2. When you make a collage all the images have to be the same resolution. If you're going to display the finished collage on the internet, the resolution should be 72 dpi. If you're going to print the image, the resolution has to be 300 dpi. Open an image. Image%26gt;Resize. First, at the bottom of the Resize window make sure Resample is UNchecked. Now, change the resolution (if you have to, to the value you need - 72 or 300). Do this for each image you're going to use in the collage so that when you finish all the images are 72 or all of them are 300. This will prevent some of the images being too small when you move them onto the background.

3. When you paste an object from one photo onto your collage, be sure to Paste As New Layer so you can move it around. How to put one photo onto another on Paint Shop Pro?
Ok not sure exactly what your doing after editing the edge's off the image. But if you haven't promoted the image first in PSP it will retain most of the data when you copy and paste as a new layer. And if it's showing as being really small after pasting it make sure you have the proper settings for it not to make it small sounds to me like you have it set up in the re-size field as pixel re-size. I set mine up as either bi cubic re-size or smart size. If you try on the original image promote to background first then shift + D to duplicate it and close the original image then on your copy make your adjustments then do selection select all selection float then de float this should place a set of dotted lines or marching ants as some call it around your image area that you have made adjustments to. Then try edit copy then back to your background layer and edit paste as new layer.

I am guessing that your background image is a lot larger than the images you are placing on it to make the collage which will also make your images look smaller at times as well.

Hope this makes sense and it works for you.

Have been using PSP since version 7 and use strictly PSP 9 now so all together i have been working with the program for close to 15 years give or take.
