I tried terpintine and hot water and soap...nothing worked!

Shellac is beetle resin dissolved in denatured alcohol, so if you want to clean it off a brush, get more denatured alcohol.

Mineral spirits? Read the Label on the shalack, or just throw the brush away.
Try soaking it in paint thinner, then rinsing well.
